GTM iRule to direct specific customers to specific pool based on source IP

Does anyone know of an iRule which will allow me to redirect the DNS lookup to the Wide IP to a specific pool based on the source IP range that the DNS lookup comes in on? We would like to use this to assist with the migration of customers over to new web servers.

 

Any help would be much appreciated.

    Start by looking at GTM regions and topologies - https://support.f5.com/kb/en-us/products/big-ip_gtm/manuals/product/gtm-lb-configuring-11-5-0/1.html

     

    Depending on your DNS architecture, GTM does not see the client IP address but instead sees the IP address of the user's LDNS server, so all IP-related decisions it makes will be based on LDNS IP addresses and not client IP addresses.

    Thanks for the resposnse. This looks like a good option. Far simpler than an iRule.

     

    I think we will be OK to to make the decisions based on the LDNS IP rather than the client IP. I will feed this back to the developers who are sking for this functionality. Thanks again.
