GTM Integration with Current LDNS infrastructure

What are the options with integrating LDNS with GTM. We currently use Microsoft AD integrated DNS and need to use topology load balancing based on source LDNS to redirect the same A record or CNAME to Local Server. The LDNS Servers and the GTM are in different subnets.

I have tried setting up listeners with WIDE IPs for the above scenario with CNAMES as per the documentation. All WIDE IPs, Listerns and resouces come up as available but the GTM never sees any traffic from the Local DNS Servers. On the Local DNS servers I have delegated Domains to the GTM and set up CNAME records to use the delegated Domains. Can anyone offer some assistance please I as can't see what I'm doing wrong ?.

Thanks in advance

Philip

  • Tough to say with much certainty what your issue is, but it may be best to test reachability between your LDNS and the GTM first. Can you ping the GTM from an LDNS? If not, could be a routing issue or access control somewhere in between the GTM and the LDNS.

Have you just recently stood up this GTM?
