GTM Generic Hosts

We are attempting to add some generic hosts on our GTMs so we can do intelligent DNS resolution. We are running 9.4.8 code on 1500's. GTMs are active/standby pairs.

 

 

We are expienceing several issues:

 

 

1. The hosts seem to be going up and down, and when we do a tcpdump, we see that the monitors appear to have stopped. This same syptom seems to happen on different GTMs.

 

 

2. On another GTM we have created a new custom monitor. When we go to create a server it does not show up, only default monitors appear in the list.

 

 

I may just be missing something here,, are there any good design docs out there? manual makes it look simple.
