Jan 31, 2008GTM as name sever
Hi,
I have some address space from my service provider and what i would like to do is setup the GTM as a name server to host dns record for a domain name (www.fw.****.com) i have just registered with pipex. I got pipex to create A record and point www.fw.****.com to the GTM floating IP connected to the internet so all request from www.fw.****.com should point to the GTM instead as a authoritative name server. Please advise what to do. I know to setup wide IP for loadbalacing but not sure how to get zone for www.fw.****.com register on the GTM.

- Deb_Allen_18Historic F5 AccountSetting an A record to point to a nameserver doesn't make it authoritative for that hostname.
The administrator for the ***.com zone must delegate the subdomain fw.***.com to GTM for it to be the authoritative nameserver.
You will also need to define a WideIP on GTM for www.fw.****.com that points to the virtual servers that will service requests for that hostname.
