GSLB - Link Monitor
Hello,
We have this configuration in our both DC's:
DC1 -> ISP -> Router -> Firewall -> F5 GTM -> LTM DC2 -> ISP -> Router -> Firewall -> F5 GTM -> LTM
GTM on DC2 is sync with GTM on DC1 and resolves external queries.
We have a /24 public network range for websites and first 100 IPs are for first DC and other 100 are for second DC (Websites redundancy in case of failure).
This range of public IPs its present on both Firewalls which the GTM has access. The GTM has two GTM Objects ( one with virtual servers for all public IP's on DC1 and other with virtual servers for all public IPs on DC2) I do a Get / websitepage on every website public IP for monitor.
On DC1 If the Router after ISP goes down GTM will still mark the DC1 public IPs OK ( Because after all the Firewall has them Ok) and I don't want that. I want to monitor the router interface and if it goes down I want to disable all public IP VIRTUAl Servers on DC1 and make available only the DC2 public IPs available.
How do you configure that? GTM is on a DMZ with private adresses. VIRTUAL Servers on GTM were done manually so we could place the public IP. How to monitor a next hop ( with same public address than the websites)? With GSLB Link ?
Thanks in advance, FM

Which code version ?
Simplest way would be to use an ICMP ping monitor the ISP router and use it within the pools on top of existing monitor.
Have you looked into VS Dependency ?
