GMT recursion DNS getting timed out

Hi

 

i have enabled recursion on GTM and created acl for internal IP range also opened a rules on firewall from GTM self IP to any destination on dns service. When i make GTM listner as DNS server and try to resolve external domains i am getting timed out for few times then dns works. Its same issue for all the new domains i am trying to resolve it.

 

can you please confirm if anything else to be configured..

    i would have a look at the network traffic that is generated as such a moment, does it go where you expect it to go?

    yes it passes properly as expected. when i run tcpdump in GTM its trying to connect to multiple NS in internet during that time i am getting timed out but eventually it works.

    why is it trying and not succeeding? that sounds like a network issue more then a BIG-IP issue.
