get status of members that reside on LTM from GTM

I've got a GTM (10.2.0) and a LTM (9.3.0), two different boxes. What I want is on the GTM to have the virtual server marked down when a certain amount of members are down in the pool on the LTM. I can...

If I understand your requirements, I don't believe you can accomplish this using built-in functionality. I think the problem you will run into is that the GTM relies on the status reported by the LTM. And unless the LTM will marks the pool down - which it sounds like you don't want - I don't see how the GTM can mark it's status differently.
