FTP/FTPS/SFTP On Same Server
Long time listenser, first time caller....I have a request to allow FTP, SFTP, and FTPS thru our LTM to a single test server, basically a pass-thru. I've checked out the docs on this site for FTP and FTPS, did what they suggested and no love. So, the Systems Engineers want to focus on SFTP - 22.
I haven't found anything relevant on using SFTP on the LTM. DO I need to create any type of SSL server profile? Does anyone have a document,or a suggestion on how to set SFTP to flow thru the LTM? Right now, its just a single test server in the pool. Once it goes production, we will add more resources. Appreciate anyone assistance.

- Riley_Schuit_82Historic F5 AccountI don't know what happened to my answer... so i will summarize forothers: I suggested to setup a fastl4 tcp/22 VS, apply address translation if needed. The end server will not see the originating source address if there is any SNATs involved.

Sure. Here is a good article: https://support.f5.com/kb/en-us/solutions/public/9000/300/sol9347.html?sr=41837690 I tried to put this in my original answer but it magically disappeared :) From what I have skimmed over and from what I have in memory, it will require that the the FTPS server be on a directly attached network and routing back through the bigip.
