Feb 03, 2016FTP issues using filezilla
Hi,
We have recently setup VIP for ftp connections through F5. We are having issues when user is trying to access ftp using filezilla client (in both active and passive modes) . Is it possible that F5 is not able to handle connections coming from filezilla? Please help me in understanding this.
Thanks,
Sekhar

There is no incompatibilities with FileZilla that I know of. When you created the VIP did you apply an FTP profile?

Yes Brad, Session is timing out and I have tried allowing data-port 20 and 0. Both gave me same results. virtual config ltm virtual vs_test01_ { auto-lasthop enabled destination x.x.x.2:ftp ip-protocol tcp mask 255.255.255.255 partition Corp_Non-prod pool pl_test01 profiles { /Common/tcp { } ftp_test { } } source 0.0.0.0/0 source-address-translation { type automap } vs-index 92 } Thanks, Sekhar - Brad_Parker_139

What is timing out exactly? The opening of the control channel? The opening of the data channel? or is it timing out while a file is being transferred? - Sekhar
