FTP and FTPS

I've recently come into a problem and I'm wondering if this is possibly solved by an iRule. We have regular FTP and then we are setting up FTPS but when we setup FTPS the way the instructions say to by F5 Article it seems that precedence takes over and wants to send the FTPS to the FTP. Is there a way to fix it with out giving it a new Destination IP address.

    don't quite understand the problem, you do ftp and sftp on the same server?

     

    and you have a wildcard and port 21 virtual server now?

    I had both running on separate ports, then I was asked for them both to be accepted on port 21. I then removed the VS for port 21. The only thing that works is FTPS and not FTP in this configuration. Also I'm not using SFTP we are using FTPS which is totally different.

    so ftps and ftp run on the same poolmember(s)?

     

    and you configured that masquerade IP for ftp and ftps?

    So after conversing with F5, you have to have the FTP profile on because it is the FTP profile that actually sets up the data ports between the two. So it looks like you cannot use port 21 for both FTP and FTPS.
