Forwarding IP Virtual Server

I have the following topology:

 

(Nodes) -----(f5 BIG-IP)-----(Gateway Device)

 

If i am making a forwarding Virtual Server, the default gateway on my Nodes should be the Internal IP address of BIG-Ip or the gateway device? i want to use the gateway device and how to accomplish that?

    If you have SNAT enabled on your devices, then the default gateway of the nodes should not matter. If you are trying to set up the F5 as the default gateway, you can send the traffic to the Internal self IP (floating if available) on the F5. That traffic can then be routed by a Forwarding IP VS.
