forward proxy example for tcp port 22 outbound traffic

I have been successfully using the http forward proxy 3.2 devcentral irule code for a few years. I am interested in being able to do something very similar for tcp port 22 outbound traffic. Is there anyone who has set up anything that would allow private 1918 space IP's to connect outbound to remote sites listening on tcp port 22 (sftp) ?
