Need help in creatinf floating IP address.
I have a redundant system and need to create a floating Ip. Do i need to create this floating IP in both the units or just doing it in active and syncing the configs will help.
Please help me, i am new to this.

If you create the static self IP address on each unit and the floating self IP on the active unit, you can sync from active to standby and all shared config (including floating self IP addresses) will be synch'd to the peer.
Aaron- To clarify a bit, you need to create self IPs on each box first... Then, you'll need Floating IPs on each box, you can manually create them, or sync up to push the recently created float..
Don't forget to use the same unit ID number on the floats if you manually create..
