Aug 17, 2007There is a configuration forum now, this would be more appropriate over there for future reference.
Regarding question 1, all your configuration will remain, however, it will be modified in that starting in version 9.4, there is a feature called administrative domains that allows the administrator to partition rights, so you can move pools/vips/etc into different partitions so users with different roles/responsibilities can't impact other applications. Your configuration will move forward into the common partition, so no big deal there. However, if you edit the configuration file manually or run scripts with the bigpipe commands, you might have to update your scripts to reflect this architecture change.
Regarding question 2, that depends on your requirements. I'd recommend you move to 9.3 hotfix 1 for sure, as this is a stable and tested version for the 9.2.x feature train. If there are features you are waiting for in version 9.4, then I'd get a recommendation from your sales team on which version has the greatest installed base and has experienced the greatest stability. I'd be careful in installing the latest image of any device simply due to the lack of real-world proving of the stability of the code. The 97 day bug comes to mind...
