Dec 06, 2006Firewall NAT and F5
We brought in an F5 after many servers were already assigned static NAT IP's. What is the best policy when using Virtual servers on the F5's. For example, I created a pool with a virtual address of 65.73.XX.X. The servers in the pool have an inside address of 192.168.168.X and 192.168.168.XX. They are also nated at the firewall with outside addresses that are different than the virtual server. Do I need to remove the outside addresses on the servers at the firewall or make them all match the virtual Server address of the pool they belong to?
Please advise...
Thanks,
Chris
