the HA Interconnect requires a VLAN ID to be assigned to the LAG, but can be untagged.
The LAG can be assigned to multiple tenants.
How the LAG works behind the scenes is a very broad question, the answer is far too long for this forum.
And, this is just my opinion, a LAG for HA Interconnect is overkill. For a box to box interconnect, a single Interface to Interface will do.
