F5 VE integration with Cisco ACI and OpenStack
Hello Community,
We are building a datacenter based on Cisco ACI SDN and OpenStack with loadbalacer F5 VE. We have a constraint, the users of this datacenter are connected objects. These objects connect to servers hosted in OpenStack computes. We set loadbalancer F5 because the incoming flow of objects is very imprtant. The F5 VE are mounted in failover. So we want the objects to connect to the VIP. Except that by testing the F5 with OpenStack, the VIP is dynamically allocated in the Neutron external pool.
My question : - How should we manage the need to have a static IP for the VIP F5?
I attached a diagram of the targetted architeture.
Thanks for help !!

The F5 and Cisco APIC integration based on the device package and iWorkflow is End Of Life.
The latest integration is based on the Cisco AppCenter named ‘F5 ACI ServiceCenter’.

- SNAT or no SNAT
- BIG-IP redundancy
- Multi-tenancy
- Tighter integration using F5 ACI ServiceCenter
