F5 upgrade from 10.x to 11.x and exchange 2010 config

We configured Exchange using an the template that came with 9.x version and that is no longer supported by F5.   Per F5 documentation - http://www.f5.com/pdf/deployment-guides/microsoft-exchange-...

Sorry I am just an exchange person, my F5 knowledge is limited.

 

Per the below statement from your reply, I am understanding that we should reconfigure Exchange with new iApps. The current config with old template will continue to work, but to take advantage of new features use iAPP. Using iAPP requires complete reconfig using new VIPs. Can you please confirm?

 

"You can deploy side-by-side using the iApp, but you must use a different virtual server IP address to avoid a conflict with the existing deployment."

 

Our hosting provider is working with F5 and as I have asked them to check on this as well. Again, thanks for your help.

    Yes, you'll need to deploy a new set of configuration objects using the iApp. If you have all of the information on hand, this should take no more than about 5 minutes. You can use a different IP address for the new deployment and switch DNS over later, or change the VIP address of the existing deployment prior to running the iApp.
