F5 SSL VPN with Ubuntu and Firefox
My first question, and I sincerely appreciate any help.
I am running Ubuntu 12.04 64-bit with the latest Firefox 26, and F5 SSL VPN. I go to a designated website for my company, put in a username and password, and a small popup window appears, at which point the connection is established. 9 out of 10 times, that popup window opens, and shortly after closes. After attempting several times, it will stay open, and connect successfully. Block popups is turned off in Firefox. I can keep "dialing" a new connection from the logged in screen, and that popup window will appear, then disappear a few seconds later.
The strange part of this is that is DOES work, eventually. Usually it takes closing down Firefox completely, reopening it, and logging back in... repeating that process until it works.
The plugin identifies itself as F5 Network Access Plugin ver 7000.2012.0202.1, and the file is np_F5_SSL_VPN_x86_64.so
Any ideas what could possibly be wrong, or how I can keep that popup window from closing? The screenshot below is the console view in firebug.. maybe that has something to do with it? Our system admin is no help, since Ubuntu is "unsupported".. maybe for good reason ;)
