F5 response DNS loadbalance inbound time out 2s

Can you provide your software version please and also let us know what modules you are using, it's not quite clear.

So how is the F5 hosting DNS records? Where is the 2s timeout seen? Do you mean the DNS record TTL?

on F5 i have config wideip : www.wip.abc.com , there are 2 member is 2 vs inbound

 

the DNS server inside delegated record www to F5 .

 

the listener ip : seflip internal interface

 

the users in outside nslookup and shaw ip wan correct to access web. but time out 2S

 

C:\Users\hung>nslookup

 

Default Server: google-public-dns-a.google.com

 

Address: 8.8.8.8

The timeout you are seeing is the nslookup query timeout, not the DNS record TTL.

the users in inside query dns work fine , is this config true ? i think query dns time out 2s will made slow process access , how to fix it ?

I'm not sure how you can have a wide IP configured if you're not using GTM. Regardless, I'd suggest you try a lookup using a different Internet DNS server (not Google) and see if the result is the same.

My F5 ( LC,LTM) , LC have wideip loadbalance inbound . I tested in environment and the Ip dns of end users is ip of Vss DNS server inside network , when the users query some record was delegated in F5 then time out 2s any else record work fine
