F5 LTM AS A FORWARD PROXY/TMG REPLACEMENT FOR HTTP/HTTPS FOR MOBILE USERS
How can the F5 be used as a Forward Proxy for mobile users to the internet. My initial setup included the mobile users sending requests to F5,which sends requests to Traffic Servers, and Traffic servers have another leg which sends requests to the internet.
The traffic servers however are capping (capacity),and so,there is a requirement for the F5 to be used as a FORWARD PROXY for mobile users.
Kindly list the steps to follow, e.g, 1,create standard virtual server, 2, use the irule HTTP Forward Proxy - v3.2 e.t.c
Thanks

Hi, Here you can find all the details for that configuration: https://support.f5.com/kb/en-us/products/big-ip_apm/manuals/product/apm-secure-web-gateway-implementations-12-1-0/6.html
This refers to SWG/APM but you don't need them unless you need user authentication and URL filtering.

Hello Daniel, The F5 box in question only has LTM license and doesn't have APM/SGM functionality.
What can be done.

You can do everything but the APM/SWG bits. Just skip the APM configurations

Thanks Daniel. I have another problem however. I have another set of LTM boxes in HA and in Sync. However, for a specific route domain, almost all nodes are marked as down from a single LTM , even when they are reachable from tmsh.
What can be done about this?
