F5 LTM : performance graph analysis
Hi,
My company uses F5 LTM 10.2.0, it is used to manage HTTP and HTTPS traffic between our clients and our webservers.
Can somebody help me to analyze the graph (attachement : incident-prod-13-03-2013-f5.jpg)?
Questions :
- Is server-side throughput = traffic between F5 and our webservers?
- I don't understand why "server bits out" and "client bits out" graphs are so different between 13:30 and 15:00..
Any help is welcome :)
Regards,
Miguel

Do you have anything in your HTTP profile like compression that could affect the traffic as it passes through the LTM? - Mike_Maher

Also to answer your first question I think that server side is actually client to F5 being that the F5 would be the "server" in that case and in the F5 to web server case it would be the "client". I am not 100% sure I am correct on that interpretation so someone please feel to correct me. - IT

Thanks for your quick answer!
We use a custom HTTP profile with gzip compression (Least compression), almost all other settings are default. - nitass
