F5 Hotfix and software installation question

Hi all,

 

i had question regarding , when a new device arrives from f5 it has a software for example 10.2.0 :

 

Sys::Software Status

 

Volume Product Version Build Active Status

 

MD1.1 BIG-IP 10.2.0 1234.23 yes complete

 

MD1.2 none none none no complete

 

MD1.3 none none none no complete

 

now if i need to install same version with diffrenret build and a hotfix .

 

i just need to install Hotfix iso file in MD1.2 disk ? Software image will get installed by itself to the MD1.2 ?

    SynAck,

     

    Software image will get installed by itself to the MD1.2

     

    Only if the base image i.e. v10.2.0 in your example, is on the box too in /shared/images. Of course it should be but i'd check.
