F5 GTM/LTM health monitor to check IBM DB2

Hi, 

 

We are looking GTM/LTM configuration to manage traffic between DB2 Primary and Standby in failover event. I don't find any information regarding IBM DB2 health-check monitoring availability like Oracle or SQL. Do GTM/LTM perform health-check and if yes then what are those? Also, if any custom health-check we can build and use in LTM? 

We don't want to use HTTP/TCP protocol to monitor database as they are not allowing to use in prod system.

    Thanks for your response.  Looks like LTM with specific script to check DB health-check is the best option currently we have since we want VIP/Public IP route the traffic in the event of DB2 failover without doing much manual work.
