F5 FAILED TO RE-ROUTE THE TRAFFIC TO THE AVAILABLE NODE
Hello team,
here's my scenario:
10.5.0.13 7712
10.5.0.13 7711
10.5.0.14 7712
10.5.0.14 7711
Currently monitoring icmp, tcp 7712, and tcp 7711.
However, if one of the nodes is down on port 7712, F5 is not able to re-route the traffic to the available node.
Please help.

Hi
Do you mean that if the monitor fails and the pool member is marked as down then you are still seeing traffic going to the pool member?

Hi Iaine,
Glad to reading you.
The pool member is still marked as up.
Actually, the pool has 3 health monitors (icmp, tcp7712, tcp7711), and availability requirements is set to 2, and I think that is the reason why the node is still up coz the icmp and tcp7711 are ok, hence the node is marked up.

Hi, yes, that's exactly it. If you want the member to be marked down when a single monitor fails then set the availability to All

I recommend you to have put ICMP monitoring on the node level and put services monitoring at pool/pool member level.
