F5 device auto failover options.

Folks, We have our F5 devices connected directly yo each other via the HA cable. The VIP side and the Server side connect to switches, the switches are in Active-Active mode. Everything works fine till we have tested failover of the switches. The F5's never failover and we have to do that manually. How can we resolve this?

Now I was going through some documentation which mentions about VLAN failsafe option. Is that the solution to the above issue? If yes, any document how can I configure that per gudelines?
