F5 Deployed, now what for configuration?

Hi,

 

F5 LTM 11.6 is now deployed in my infrastucture (virtual edition), however I'd like to now configure it.

 

A few questions:

 

1) Where is the default gateway setting for the F5 appliance? I'd like to use my existing firewall as the gateway.

 

2) If I set a vlan ID in F5, does the member server I want to load balance have to be in the same vlan?

    1. there are two default routes (typically), the admin (management-route) and then you have your ltm routes (net).
    2. You can load balance to anything you have connectivity too. There's no requirement that it be on the same vlan.
