F5 based load balancing for SAP ABAP and Java systems

Hi,

 

In our landscape, we are looking to install systems split across multiple network zones. Our external facing systems will be in the Presentation layer. These systems include:

 

  • SAP Portal v7.4
  • SAP Sourcing v9.0 based on SAP NW Java 7.3
  • SAP SLC-Sell Side based on SAP NW ABAP 7.4

SAP Sourcing will be split such that 2 Appl Servers will be installed in the Presentation layer. The DB and 2 App Servers will be installed in Intranet layer.

 

My question is: has F5 ever been tested to load balance SAP Sourcing App servers?
