F5 ASM 1600 suddenly OFFLINE, application security manager is not ready.

Hi Guys,

 

Please advise me if you guys facing this problem before.

 

Yesterday my F5 ASM 1600 suddenly went OFFLINE, i check on the F5 KB it is because MySQL corrupted and i did a recover_db.pl (referring to SOL14194). After that, i have disabled system mark with OFFLINE (referring to SOL13484). I though everything is back to normal but actually not!

 

When i open F5 ASM GUI and i click on the Application Manager, i saw "ASM is not ready". Besides, in TMSH this error generating non stop "emerg logger: Re-starting asm"

 

I tried to find "emerg logger: Re-starting asm" in F5 KB, there is no much information. F5 KB doesn't mention this error and workaround for "emerg logger: Re-starting asm"

 

Please help me if anyone here facing same issue before. Really appreciate. FYI, My maintenance had just expired. So i cant log a case with F5.

    the log means asm process is restarting. could you have a look to var/log/asm to see anything dedicated ?

    What i would do if you don t too many policies. Backup them individually, de provision asm reboot, reprovision asm.

     

    If you really need to pinpoint the issue open a case.
