The "Client Interface Speed" feature was primarily designed for specific functionalities in older Windows versions:
That includes:
- Helping the OS adjust the TCP receive window size.
- Displaying the interface speed in a taskbar tooltip pop-up when hovering over network adapters.
With the advent of Windows 10, there were significant changes in how the OS managed TCP-related features. Consequently, the "Client Interface Speed" setting became less influential.
