F5 analytics / statistics send to splunk/collection server
Hi everyone! First of all, I wish you lots of prosperity and F5 certifications in the new year!
We just built a new HTTP virtual server and trying to get some analytic from HTTP traffic, such as average response times, HTTP bad responses, etc.
I was initially thinking about a request logging profile, but in the end we are going to have hundreds of thousands new requests so I am not sure if enabling logging profile would first give us more insights, and second, if that would be an overkill for the F5 box.
What is the best way to monitor HTTP traffic behavior? We have the option of enabling analytics although I would try to save as much CPU/RAM as possible for LTM. In the end we would like to export those analytics into JSON or Splunk format.
Cheers, Liviu

If you have AVR provisioned and enabled look at the Analytics iApp, can be configured to get AVR stats and can format ready for Splunk.
You can play with the Analytics profile and the iApp to get what you need without to much additional system load.
