F5 / SCOM Discovery Issues
Morning all,
I wonder if you can shed any light on an issue I am having trying to get the F5 devices setup with in the Microsoft SCOM console.
I have installed the MP with little fuss onto the RMS Server in my environment.
The discovery wizard can see the F5 device when given the IP address and the user credentials asked for.
The status of the discovery states: an attempt to connect to the iControl blah blah was a success
And then everything just stops,
The discovery process doesn’t go any further than this (even when left for 48 hours)
The trace.log file states the following
Global Critical: 0 : [2/25/2013 9:43:37 AM]The service F5MonitoringService is starting

G'day,
I had exactly the same problem. You need to manually upgrade the BIGIP agent on the F5 device to the latest version and this should fix your issue. These two links will help you on your way.
