Extend retention/log rotation period of local DB on ASM VE
Hi,
I tried to follow SOL13367 and changed default 8 days value to 40 using tmsh cli command :
modify /sys db logrotate.logage value
Reset is not listed as required and config sync were applied.
I cannot see more than 7 days while browsing for ASM reports on F5 ASM VE .
How can i extend ASM reports period keeping them on the local database ?

run modify /sys db logrotate.logage 80 save /sys config on the active bigip then sync the active bigip to the standby bigip.

After you run the command, restart syslog-ng and check the /var/run/config/logrotate.conf file. It should be updated.

Question : the logrotate period applied regards only to internal DB routines, right ?
There´s other variable for syslog files rotation.
no that is exactly the problem, these commands are for logs. the internal DBs are not manageable like this. for ASM i believe it is not an ammount of days that counts but the number of entries. if you got more of them then there will be less days available.
