Exporting Device Certificate for GTM Synchronization

Hi,

 

I am in a situation where I have to migrate an old F5 appliance (LTM) to a one. Migration has been completed and all required nodes, Virtual Servers and CA certificates are migrated successfully.

 

However, the old F5 appliance was in sync with another F5 Appliance running GTM only. Since the Self IP on both old and new F5 would be same, will the GTM synchronizes with new F5 ltm as well or do I have to do the following :

 

  • Export Device certificate from old F5 to new F5.
  • If above is true, how to do it via GUI?

 

One more question, in case I add the new F5 as new server under GTM, all the Virtual Servers will be discovered automatically (Auto-Discover feature) but wouldn't this cause conflict with both old F5 server and the new one. I mean, same VS IP's?

 

Will really appreciate for the guidance.

    Hi Dexter,

     

    About the Device certificate export, yes you can do this via GUI using the export/import functionality (don't forget to export certificate and key).
