Export/Import APM profiles not working with iApps

Hello,

 

I have an APM Access profile that was created by an iApp. The profile path is shown as Partition/iApp .

 

There are two issues.

 

When I try to export the profile I get the error message below. Export Error: Profile partition Partition/iApp.app is not admin's partition Partition or Common.

 

When I try to import any existing APM profile to the path Partition/iApp, it is not allowed. I get the message that the profile name containing this path is invalid.

 

How does one import/export APM profiles linked to iApp?

    Unfortunately the import and export functions cannot be used if the objects are contained within a folder (eg, /common/xyz.iapp/mydeployediapp).

     

    Also unfortunate is that there isn't really a workaround for this problem except by using Policy Sync (use 11.6.0 latest HF or v12.x) or Config Sync. This is defect ID 399857 if you'd like to bring it up with Support.
