exchange edge server
dears I had deploy big ltm with exchange server 2010 and every thing working fine except that I need to have internet access to edge server to have windows update ...
can any one advise advise what could be the root cuase ???

do your exchange servers point to the ltm for default gateway?

My exchange server point to ltm as gateway and the rules applied on firewall even the defulat route to firewall

and your default gateway on your LTM points to the firewall?
You might need a wildcard VIP to allow all outbound traffic.
I try to avoid using the LTM as the gateway even though this is considered best practices from F5.

As it is production envoirement and it is diffcult to modify cold you please advise how I can overcome it ??

I understand. does your LTM have a gateway going to your firewall?
Can you setup a wildcard forwarding VIP to allow this traffic?

Yes it has gateway to my firewall ...but please can you please calerify what is wildcard vip ?

i did what you advised but i'm still facing issue that internal server can't access internet please advise if we can do extra troubleshooting to solve it ?????
