Yes, correct about certs and keys.

 

I've spent an hour with our Exchange guy and we concluded that the possible reason is wrong authentication setup on the CAS servers.

 

So, decided to proceed with this article http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ff808312(v=exchg.150).aspx again.
