Exchange 2007 and 2013 Co-Existence F5 1600 Reverse Proxy

we are running through an Exchange 2007 to 2013 migration and as part of this we will be running co-existence of 2007 and 2013 mailboxes during the migration of about a month.

The external URL for Outlook Web Access and Outlook Anywhere will be redirected from the Exchange 2007 servers to the new 2013 servers as soon as possible. We will then utilise legacy.domain.com to allow the Exchange 2013 servers to redirect to the 2007 servers when the mailbox resides on the 2007 servers.

Looking at the Exchange 2010/2013 iApp to achieve the reverse proxy but I am unsure whether we can use 2007 with this or whether it is strictly for 2010/2013.

Any advice from anyone who has done this previously would be greatly appreciated, in case I am going down the wrong route.

The environment is such that I am unable to run this in a test environment first (I have tried to push this point but this is a business decision) so what ever I try will be done on a Live environment so want this to be right first time around.

Thanks in advance.
