Error when setting up Hint zones with F5 GTM

Dear All,

 

 

I am trying to configure our GTM’s for internet DNS queries. Also, we have internal and external zone files, which I am trying to migrate to one single GTM. Currently the internal zone file holds internal addresses, therefore do not want them broadcast out to the internet via zone xfers or such like. External zone files are being xfer’s to external party company.

 

 

I want to make sure I am using the correct procedure to create a Hint Zone as I get the following message, when creating resource records:

 

 

"0115040a:3: Zone not authoritative during update. zone ab.cd.co.uk/IN loaded serial 454. zone hg.cm.com/IN: loaded serial 28. zone ./IN: NS 'ns3.cm.com' has no address records (A or AAAA). zone ./IN: loaded serial 2009052201. zone test.com/IN: loaded serial 4. zone test.cm.com/IN: loaded serial 3. "

 

 

But do not know how to get around it. Any ideas?

 

 

 

Is the resolv.conf file stored in \etc? Is it necessary to edit this on the GTM?
