Apr 18, 2008Enable FTP profile
There appears to be no way to enable or disable an ftp profile within an iRule. Am I missing something? Or is there something I could do that would be functionally equivalent?
We have an outbound wildcard port 21 PerformanceL4 vip using a gateway pool implemented with an ftp profile (see SOL 8021 - Click here) to fix one particular ftp app's behavior (call it App A). Unfortunately implementing that configuration has broken several other ftp apps, causing intermittent connection loss and timeouts.
I'd like to be able to have the ftp profile disabled on the vip, but enable it when I see connections from the particular source addresses associated with App A.
Thoughts?

- spark_86682Historic F5 AccountThere is currently no way to enable or disable the ftp profile. Your best bet, if you're on v9.4.x, might be to use the virtual command to target an FTP VIP if you detect App A's source address.
