Edge Client on EOL Windows version
We have users connecting to VPN through Edge Client and their notebooks running Windows 10 Enterprise, which is going EOS on October 14, 2025.
Please advise on the following after windows goes EOS:
1. what would be the impact ?
2. Would there be any compatibility issue ?
3. What are all the considerations that needs to be taken into account with respect to EdgeClient and windows to not have any impact to user and VPN connectivity.
4. Suspecting posture checks and other parameters might be impacted

You're facing issues with the F5 Edge Client on an EOL (end-of-life) Windows version. To fix this, it's best to upgrade to a supported version of Windows, as using an outdated version can cause compatibility and security problems. You might also want to check for any updates or patches for the F5 client that are compatible with newer Windows versions. Related Discussion Big-IP Edge Version end of life? | DevCentral

Hello GDC1-TRG-F5
From a compatibility standpoint, there should be no immediate impact, both Windows 10 and the Edge Client are expected to continue functioning normally. While it's likely that newer versions of Edge Client will maintain compatibility with Windows 10 for some time, this cannot be guaranteed indefinitely.
The primary concern lies in security. With Windows 10 reaching End of Support, it will no longer receive security updates from Microsoft. As a result, devices running this OS will gradually become more vulnerable, potentially introducing risk to your network environment.
Furthermore, posture checks may be affected, depending on your APM policy configuration. For instance, if the posture validation requires the device to have received recent updates (e.g., within the last 14 days), Windows 10 systems will eventually fail these checks due to the lack of new patches after the EOS date.
Given these considerations, it's strongly recommended that a migration plan to Windows 11 be scheduled across the enterprise environment to ensure continued security, compatibility, and compliance.
