Dynamic Ratio (node) Load Balancing for Remotedesktop Services in Windows 2016
Hi everyone,
I want to use load to balance Remote Desktop Session Hosts. Hosts are running Windows Server 2016 and GPOs etc. are set properly. I used the iApp to configure everything acc. to the documentation.
Now I tried to use wmi monitor to load balance the traffic according to performance parameters but I think it is not working. The appliance queries RDSH nodes with wmi - that's running fine as the logs show. In the iAPP change the lb method to dynamic ratio (node). I assigned the wmi monitor to the nodes.
When I run a test with HeavyLoad on one of the RDSH I can see how the dynamic ratio for that node decreases. So I expect the F5 directing all traffic to the second host with a higher ratio. But that does not work. The RD Session is send to the host with high cpu load. Further if I take the node offline the wmi monitor stays green.
Is there anybody out there who lb Remotedesktopservices with Server 2016 and runs it with dynamic ratio? Are there any other points to look at?
Thank you for your ideas.
