Downtime when adding more servers to a live pool?

Hi,   1) Will there be any downtime if I create nodes in disabled/forced offline state and then add them to an active pool AS IS? 2) When the time comes that I need to enable these nodes , will ...

    The answer to both of your questions is no. This is a good controlled approach for introducing new resources.

     

    Once you add the new node into your pool and activate it, then it'll begin processing connections according to your load balancing algorithm.

Since the traffic will start flowing towards the new pool member, need to ensure the new member is healthy (with proper health monitor) and the your persistence configured is as per the requirement. Otherwise adding a new member is event free.
