When doing any changes in F5 end at what points do i need downtime
Please answer for these two in additional if any downtime required in production required
1)for ssl renewal
2)for timeout change ...

NoctilucentThere would not be any downtime required unless your on Standalone Unit. As long as you have HA Pair (Active/Standby), your Active LTM will always process traffic. If Active goes down, the Standby will failover to Active and process the traffic. So there's no downtime. So whenever you make any configuration level changes, there's no downtime required.
1)for ssl renewalEvery applications cert will usually be renewed before it expires, like within 30 days or within a week. But in the event its expired too, the application when accessed will just throw certificate prompt page error, that does not require any downtime. You can just goto clientssl and update with a new cert and key.
2)for timeout changeDefine timeout, which one you are referring here.
