Does the Viprion support a Cluster on the same chassis ?

Hello, In our lab environnement, we have only one Viprion, i need to test some cluster fonction, is it possible de configure a cluster of vCMP in the same Viprion ? if it is, does the configuration require two blades to configure one vCMP on each blade ? Thx in advance

  • Never tried that to be honest, but I would assume that it will work and that you will also not need separate blades for that. I think you just need to pay attention to setting the management interfaces of both vcmp guests to shared mode.

Since you seem to have the proper lab unit for that, just try it out and let us know ;-)

This configuration can work but this is highly not recommended to use in production.

"HA device groups are configured on the vCMP guests. Members of a Sync-Failover device group should each run on a separate chassis, and each peer in the device group should have the same number of slots on each chassis. The maximum supported size of a Sync-Failover device group is eight members"
