Does the mgmt IP change while restoring UCS file

Hello,   We are trying to backup and restore UCS file from one VCMP guest to other hosted on similar(two different box) Hardware i5800   Does the Mgmt ip address change while restoring UCS file...

Hi,

 

I don't think so,

 

In all case you just have to built the new Guest with the same hostname and IP (Management Network --> Bridged with the same ip) before to import you backup.

 

What is exactly your goal ? you want to rebuilt the Guest in other Host only with the same configuration or maybe create a cluster and in this case you don't need to import UCS...
