Do you have to reboot after adding a TPS license with automatic activation

I added a TPS license to a 9.3.1 F5 LTM using automatic activation, via the web gui. While it does prompt to perform a software reboot after selecting the method up until the point of completing the activation(& re-activation of exisiting), I was getting repeated entries in the ltm log that I was hitting the TPS license limit which promptly stopped after installing the license.

 

 

Refering to SOL7752, the steps for automatic activation does not state to reboot (manual does). Currently my HA pair is broken due to a different issue (switched to network failover and the devices won't remain stable) so would like to avoid a reboot if possible, however need the license in place!
