DNS returns VIP1 and VIP2. How to have it return an empty response.

Hi;

 

When the DNS service is disabled for GSLB, instead of returning an empty response, the F5 DNS returns both VIP1 for Data Centre1 and VIP2 for Data Centre2. Is there a way to have it return an empty response?

    Hi, I'm not sure what is empty response, but you can configure DNS beahvior inside the pool: GSLB -> Pool -> Members -> Load Balancing Method

     

    By default Fallback method is Return to DNS which is processed by BIND returning all records of a particular type requested by DNS client. You can try changing it to Drop / None.
