DNS Configuration for LC

Hi everyone, I am really in need of some correct information, when we are installing the F5-LC, I need to understand the changes we have to make to the DNS Zone file.... as there are no document avail...

Hello,

 

 

With LC , you have to delegate the name resolution for each host in your zone mydomain.com.

 

 

Imagine you have 2 ISP and so 2 ranges 10.10.10.0 /24 and 20.20.20.0/24

 

 

In the DNS

 

 

lc1.mydomain.com A 10.10.10.254 --> IP of your Big-ip in ISP 1 range

 

lc2.mydomain.com A 20.20.20.254 --> IP of your Big-ip in ISP 2 range

 

 

For each WideIp you have in your config (eg www)

 

 

; Delegated sub-zone www.mydomain.com

 

 

www NS lc1.mydomain.com

 

www NS lc2.mydomain.com

 

 

; End delegation
