Disastser Recovery
- Nov 06, 2025
Hi unavailable,
in the prerequisites of K39543431 it is written: "You configured your disaster recovery remote environment with duplicate resources used in the HA environment."
I understand that you have the same VLANs, but also the same backend systems, with the same IP addresses. Not only pool members, but also DNS, NTP, syslog servers.
And also you can use the same virtual IP addresses in your DR site, because your DR router and your DR firewall can route these IPs.In my opinion a totally obsolete concept, to have a warm standby site like this. Unless you have some regulatory requirements for this kind of setup, it's a total waste of money. And also if you must have such setup because of regulatory requirements, it's still a waste of money.
A more contemporary way of keeping your config in sync in a DR site would be the use of automation and AS3.
